| In the early 1990's youth minister Geof Kledzik searched for a way to network with other youth ministers online. He found an interdenominational youth ministers email list that he quickly joined. He was receiving up to 200 messages a day - most of which had nothing to do with youth ministry. Many participants were even theologically bashing one another. Geof removed himself from that list and vowed to create his own email list where Catholic youth ministers could support one another.
The list quickly grew to about 200 youth ministers from around the world. As new ministers signed on, others might drop off. Over and over again, the same questions would be asked. Many of the responses were repeated each month. What was needed was a series of web pages to serve these youth ministers - a place where all this information can be stored and shared with anyone that needed it. The Youth Ministry Network was born! |

About the Fund The Rwandan genocide left many children without homes and families. After surviving this tragic event, Immaculée Ilibagiza vowed to raise money to help not only orphaned children in Rwanda, but all children of Africa to build better lives. The Left to Tell Charitable Fund has already relocated more than 60 Rwandan orphans and has offered support and communication outlets for the past pains and guilt of the tragic genocide. “I hope that one day we can laugh and move on holding hands despite the past,” Immaculee says. “Life has a lot to offer and a lot of love to give.”

National Shrine of St. Dymphna (pronounced Dimf-nah) is located on the grounds of the Heartland Behavioral Healthcare (formerly Massillon State Hospital) and was the first Church in America dedicated in her honor. She is the patroness of those afflicted with mental and nervous disorders. Although many have never heard of St. Dymphna, she is becoming increasingly popular during these days of worry, fear and tension. Then, too, there are few people in the world who are not at some time or another troubled with their nerves.
We have daily Mass here at the Shrine at 8:00 a.m. and Sunday Mass at 9:15. The Shrine is open daily 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and weekends by appointment. |
